Already slated to play Vivid Sydney this June, Laura Marling has announced a string of Australian tour dates to complement her East Coast appearance.
Having toured Australia in 2015, the tour marks a speedy return down under for the renowned nu-folk singer and comes on the heels of the release of her latest album, Super Femina.
Written on the road, Super Femina is billed as an expression of Marling’s own journey, linked inextricably to her own pondering of society’s construction of sexuality and gender. It follows from Marling’s own recent podcast series, Reversal of the Muse, in which Marling discusses such issues and feminine creativity with a range of female artists including Dolly Parton, HAIM and Karen Elson among many others.
Marling will kick off her Australian tour dates with a show at The Triffid in Brisbane, then proceed to The Gov in Adelaide, roll eastward once more to Melbourne’s Forum Theatre and finish at the Sydney Opera House for Vivid Sydney.
Tickets to her Sydney performance are now on sale.
