Something big is coming to Toronto next summer. And if you're a track fan, you're definitely not going to want to miss this one.
Athletics Canada announced earlier this morning that Toronto will be hosting the 2018 NACAC Track Championships. And what else would the name for this year's event be than "Track & Field in the 6ix"?
This massive 3-day meet will include 600 athletes from 31 countries who will be competing in more than 40 events between August 10th and 12th, 2018.
Located at the University of Toronto's Varsity Stadium, the event will include athletes from Central America, the Caribbean and North America, including Canada's golden boy, Olympic medallist Andre De Grasse, as well as Canadian world medallists like Aaron Brown and Melissa Bishop.
Expect this event to be a busy one. Event organizers are anticipating nearly 15,000 fans, and early bird pricing is already available. Tickets range in price from $30 to $500 depending on the kind of package you're interested in.
