5 Events In Toronto That Makes You In The DIY Spree

Summers always have been very much appealing season for the kids. After all it allowed them to unleash endless opportunities to try out something on their own. In other words, they got the chance to try out something or the other under DIY project. Whether it is arts or crafts or trying any other thing, kids always loved to try their DIY in full spirit. The same DIY spirit is deeply rooted inside everyone in Toronto. So, if you are keen to unleash the DIY spirit, you can certainly catch the following 5 events in Toronto and enjoy life.

1). Birkdale Art in the Park

Creativity is all like to hit the place called Scarborough’s Birkdale Park based at the Ellesmere Road this 9th of July between 10 am to 4 pm. This will be the sixth annual community event that bring together one of the most creative artists and musicians who share their original art, pictures, handmade stuff, crafts and other things, which are their own creation. The people joining this event can be of any age group and it will help them to try something new on a DIY basis at the venue. Mind it, the event is free of cost to join, so don’t miss it before its too late.

2). Maker Extravaganza

It will be a marquee even in the city, which is basically a Maker Festival taking place in two days at the Reference Library at the 789 Younge Street. On the 9th July more than 100 local makers in this place would get the chance to flaunt their creativity to thousands of attendees. Many popular names in this field is likely to present their work including the ones clubbed with other technology like  digital manufacturing, textile design and 3D printing that is going to make the people thrill. Again this Maker Extravaganza would come for free though you need to register online.

3). Arts and Artisans Market

A Toronto based non-profit organization called Raine Network which is known to support young entrepreneurs and underprivileged women are going to organize Arts and Artisan Market at Artsapce Youngplace this 10th of July. A number of workshops along with other things would remain the part and parcel of this event. You need online registration for Bollywood dance workshops and yoga and this event would remain open from 10 am to 5pm.

4) Make Your Own Sunscreens

The group called Karma Food Co-Op would be organizing the DIY Sunscreen workshop on July 12th that starts at 7 to 8.30 pm. You can learn to make all natural sunscreen and safer lotions made up from the butter/coconut all natural sunscreen along with broad spectrum SPF. This workshop is though free but would need 10 dollar donation or pay on what you can basis.

5). Bike Day at Evergreen Brick Works

This event at Evergreen Brick Works will help you in celebrating life on two wheels in between 10 am to 3pm on 10th of July. The park called Don River Valley will be hosting a number of the events for the kids and would be seen at the guided trail rides via the Don River Valley Park. In this workshop the children would get the chance to understand the mechanics of bicycles along with rebuilding the bicyle on their own.
